World’s Smallest Dog found

A Yorkshire terrier named Lulu may soon become the world’s shortest dog. The tiny pup, who lives in Loretto, Ontario, stands just 7.6cm tall and weighs less than one pound. Her owner, Kim Passero, believes Lulu could beat the current record held by a chihuahua named Pearl, who is 8cm tall.

Even though Lulu is still very young—only 4 months old—she’s already full of personality. Passero says Lulu is bold and feisty, despite her small size. “She is probably the sauciest dog I’ve ever had,” Passero said in an interview. She added that Lulu even tried to nip at her during her first bath.

Guinness World Records has a rule that dogs must be at least 1 year old before they can be officially measured for a record. That means Lulu will have to wait a little longer to try for the title.

For now, Lulu is enjoying life as a playful and spirited puppy. If she stays this small, she might soon be known around the world as the tiniest dog on Earth.
