The New Zealand Warriors have confirmed they will play at Eden Park for the first time in 13 years, with an Anzac Day NRL clash set for April 2027.
New Zealand’s national stadium will host the Warriors’ Anzac Round game for the first time on Sunday, 25 April 2027. The last time the Warriors played an NRL match at Eden Park was way back in 2014, when they beat the Canberra Raiders 54–12.
Eden Park can hold up to 50,000 fans for football matches, meaning the game has the potential to become the biggest rugby league match ever played in New Zealand. The current record for a Warriors home match in New Zealand is 38,412, set at Eden Park in 2011.
Warriors CEO Cameron George said playing at the national stadium on Anzac Day would make the occasion even more special, as it’s a day when New Zealanders and Australians come together.
The game will continue the Warriors’ recent tradition of taking their Anzac Round matches to different venues around the country, including Wellington and Northland.
With State of Origin also coming to Eden Park in 2027, it is shaping up to be a massive year for rugby league at the venue. Ticket details and the Warriors’ opponent will be confirmed once the 2027 NRL draw is released.
