Swiss Man breaks Snow-Burying Record

In Switzerland, a man named Elias Meyer set a new world record by staying buried in snow for over two hours—while only wearing his swimsuit. This happened recently when Meyer, a competitive powerlifter, stayed under the snow for exactly 2 hours and 7 seconds.

The previous record was held by Valerjan Romanvoski from Poland, who stayed buried for 1 hour, 45 minutes, and 2 seconds back in 2022. Meyer wanted to beat this time and be the first to go past the two-hour mark.

During the challenge, Meyer said that the cold wasn’t the hardest part. Instead, it was the heavy weight of the snow pushing down on his body, making his shoulders and elbows ache. He described the feeling like having a sharp ice cube pressed against your back, but with no way to move or stop it.

Meyer shared his experience on Instagram, saying he wanted to show that the human body can do amazing things. His record is now part of the Guinness World Records.
