A man from Long Island may have set a new Guinness World Record by playing golf for 36 hours without stopping. Kelechi Ezihie began his game at 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Huntington Crescent Club, hoping to play for at least 24 hours to qualify for a new world record.
Halfway through his game, Ezihie learned that another golfer in Norway had just played for 32 hours. Determined to beat that, Ezihie kept swinging and finally finished on Tuesday after golfing for 36 hours straight.
Now, Guinness World Records will review video and other proof before confirming his achievement.
Ezihie, who is originally from Nigeria, says his real goal is to make golf more popular and more accessible especially for young people in his home country. He plans to build a golf course in Nigeria so more children can learn the sport.
“People think golf is only for the wealthy,” Ezihie said in an interview. “I want to show that anyone can play no matter where they come from or what challenges they face.”
If his record is confirmed, Ezihie will be the first person to officially hold the title for the longest golf marathon.
very interesting
I loved reading it because, I never knew that maybe chocolate might be gone in the future!
save the chocolate…
I enjoyed this reading because
it show what climate changes does!!
they might have to move most chocolate into a colder place, since the climate clock is getting low
so temperature might get higher.
i love chocolate
I’m allergic to dairy, but this makes me sad for my best friends all around NZ (don’t think it’s weird because I actually do). And my chocolate loving cousin, her name is Dana (I’m from South Korea and she told me how to spell her name in Korean but its not pronounced like Dana).
I know that there are chocolate lovers around the world so, poor them or if you like chocolate poor you (even though I’m allergic to dairy, or to make it easy dairy products: cheese, milk, butter etc).
