Ireland suffered a disappointing loss to New Zealand, marking their first home defeat since 2021.
The All Blacks won the Autumn Nations Series match 23-13, powered by six penalties from their fly-half Damian McKenzie, who also helped New Zealand gain their first victory on Irish soil since 2016. Although Josh van der Flier scored a try for Ireland, penalties continued to shift momentum in favour of the visiting All Blacks.
The first half was a cautious contest, with New Zealand leading just 9-6 at halftime. Despite an early yellow card for New Zealand’s Jordie Barrett after a high tackle on Garry Ringrose, Ireland couldn’t capitalise on the advantage. Van der Flier’s try early in the second half sparked some hope for Ireland, but McKenzie responded by securing three more penalties, increasing New Zealand’s lead.
Will Jordan’s late try sealed Ireland’s fate, as the All Blacks extended their grip on this fierce rivalry.
The defeat means Ireland must quickly regroup before facing Argentina next week. Head coach Andy Farrell expressed disappointment, noting that although the team trained well, they lacked the energy and accuracy needed to win.
very interesting
I loved reading it because, I never knew that maybe chocolate might be gone in the future!
save the chocolate…
I enjoyed this reading because
it show what climate changes does!!
they might have to move most chocolate into a colder place, since the climate clock is getting low
so temperature might get higher.
i love chocolate
I’m allergic to dairy, but this makes me sad for my best friends all around NZ (don’t think it’s weird because I actually do). And my chocolate loving cousin, her name is Dana (I’m from South Korea and she told me how to spell her name in Korean but its not pronounced like Dana).
I know that there are chocolate lovers around the world so, poor them or if you like chocolate poor you (even though I’m allergic to dairy, or to make it easy dairy products: cheese, milk, butter etc).
