A 99-year-old woman has been recognised by Guinness World Records for crowd surfing at a concert. Pauline Kana achieved the record in Texas, United States, in May. She became the oldest person to crowd surf at a concert.

Pauline was born in August 1926 and had dreamed of being the best in the world at something. Her chance came during a show by country singer Bradley Gilbert. Around 20,000 people were at the concert.

To keep her safe and comfortable, Pauline was carried over the crowd on a cushioned stretcher. The crowd cheered and chanted, “Granny! Granny!” as she moved above them. The record-breaking moment became a joyful surprise for the audience.

After receiving her Guinness World Records award, Pauline was delighted. She proudly said she had done it. Her unusual achievement showed that big dreams can happen at almost any age.
