England’s women’s rugby team defeated world champions New Zealand 24-12 in a thrilling match at Twickenham, extending their unbeaten streak to 17 games.
England’s strong first half, where they scored four tries, was crucial to their victory over the Black Ferns. This win is an important boost for England as they prepare to host the World Cup next year.
England’s tries came from captain Marlie Packer, wing Abby Dow, fullback Ellie Kildunne, and halfback Natasha Hunt, giving them a 24-0 lead. New Zealand’s Katelyn Vaha’akolo scored twice in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to overcome England’s early dominance. The match was played in front of a crowd of 41,523 fans in London.
England last lost to New Zealand in the final of the World Cup in November 2022 but have since beaten them four times in five games.
England’s forward Alex Matthews emphasised the team’s focus on improving and building momentum for the upcoming World Cup. The teams will meet again in the WXV 1 tournament in Canada on October 6.
very interesting
I loved reading it because, I never knew that maybe chocolate might be gone in the future!
save the chocolate…
I enjoyed this reading because
it show what climate changes does!!
they might have to move most chocolate into a colder place, since the climate clock is getting low
so temperature might get higher.
i love chocolate
I’m allergic to dairy, but this makes me sad for my best friends all around NZ (don’t think it’s weird because I actually do). And my chocolate loving cousin, her name is Dana (I’m from South Korea and she told me how to spell her name in Korean but its not pronounced like Dana).
I know that there are chocolate lovers around the world so, poor them or if you like chocolate poor you (even though I’m allergic to dairy, or to make it easy dairy products: cheese, milk, butter etc).
