World record for Egg Cup collection

María José Fuster has officially broken a world record by collecting 15,485 egg cups, a hobby she’s been passionate about for over 50 years.

Guinness World Records confirmed her achievement after two witnesses helped count each item at a community centre in her hometown.

Fuster’s collection features a wide range of colours, patterns, and fun designs, including egg cups decorated with characters like Superman, Betty Boop, and Garfield. These small cups are usually used to hold boiled eggs, but for Fuster, they are treasures from around the world.

To keep track of everything, she runs two blogs — one shows pictures and details of each egg cup, while the other honours the many people who have donated to her collection.

Right now, over 1,100 of her favourite egg cups are being displayed in a nearby museum.
