Tennis is one of the racket sports at the 2026 AIMS Games, with matches being held at Gordon Spratt and Tauranga Lawn Tennis Club. More than 224 players are competing throughout the week. Two girls from Mount Intermediate shared their thoughts about playing singles and doubles tennis. One said she preferred doubles because she enjoyed playing with her friends. Her friend had a different opinion and said she preferred singles because playing alone can make it easier to know where to go and what to do.

With doubles matches still to come, the players will have more opportunities to enjoy the competition and support their teammates.
