A Russian court has fined Google an enormous amount of money—so large, it’s nearly impossible to comprehend. Russia demands Google pay more than 2 undecillion rubles, a 2 followed by 36 zeroes, or approximately $34 decillion NZD.
This penalty arose after Google blocked certain Russian channels on YouTube, which Russia has ordered Google to restore. The fine has continued to increase as Google has not complied.
This penalty far exceeds the entire world’s economy, valued at about $110 trillion, while Google’s parent company, Alphabet, is worth around $2 trillion. The court fines are doubling each week due to Google’s non-payment, leading to this massive sum.
Dmitry Peskov, a Kremlin spokesperson, acknowledged the fine’s astonishing size and said it’s “symbolic,” highlighting Russia’s stance against Google blocking its media. In response, Google mentioned ongoing legal issues in Russia, but stated that these matters likely won’t harm their earnings overall.
very interesting
I loved reading it because, I never knew that maybe chocolate might be gone in the future!
save the chocolate…
I enjoyed this reading because
it show what climate changes does!!
they might have to move most chocolate into a colder place, since the climate clock is getting low
so temperature might get higher.
i love chocolate
I’m allergic to dairy, but this makes me sad for my best friends all around NZ (don’t think it’s weird because I actually do). And my chocolate loving cousin, her name is Dana (I’m from South Korea and she told me how to spell her name in Korean but its not pronounced like Dana).
I know that there are chocolate lovers around the world so, poor them or if you like chocolate poor you (even though I’m allergic to dairy, or to make it easy dairy products: cheese, milk, butter etc).
