IKEA recently hosted the world’s largest pyjama party at its headquarters in Älmhult, Sweden, setting a new Guinness World Record.

The event gathered 2,052 IKEA employees, all dressed in special two-piece pyjamas made from recycled plastic, featuring the brand’s popular veggie ball design. This fun event was not only record-breaking but also highlighted the release of IKEA’s Life at Home report, which found that 55% of people consider sleep the most important wellbeing activity at home.

Fredrika Inger, Managing Director of IKEA Sweden, spoke about the event, emphasising the importance of good sleep for everyone. She said, “Good sleep benefits everyone, and by prioritising it, we can make a big difference. Simple changes, like choosing the right pillow or lighting, can lead to better rest.”

The event underscored IKEA’s commitment to promoting healthy habits and making good sleep accessible to all.
