The All Blacks have won again at Eden Park, beating the Wallabies 33–24 on Saturday night to keep hold of the Bledisloe Cup for the 23rd year in a row.
The match took place in Auckland, and although New Zealand started strong, it became a tight and exciting game.
The All Blacks raced to a 20–3 lead in the first half with tries from Caleb Clarke, Leroy Carter, and Cam Roigard. But things got tricky after Beauden Barrett had to leave the game with a shoulder injury. The Wallabies fought back bravely and closed the gap to just three points by half-time.
Cam Roigard, playing his first big match of the season after a foot injury, was one of the stars of the night. He scored two tries, including a very important one near the end that helped New Zealand stay in front.
Australia didn’t give up, with tries from Billy Pollard, Harry Potter, and Carlo Tizzano. But a yellow card late in the game and a few mistakes cost them the chance to win.
Other strong performances came from captain Ardie Savea, Leroy Carter, and Fabian Holland, who helped the All Blacks control the lineouts and scrums.
The Wallabies haven’t won at Eden Park since 1986, and that record continues.
The two teams will play again in Perth next Saturday, but the Bledisloe Cup is staying in New Zealand.
