Trump installs Diet Coke Button

American President, Donald Trump, has reinstalled the famous Diet Coke button on the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, a feature that gained attention during his first term.

This quirky addition reflects Trump’s personal style as he begins his second term in the White House. Coca-Cola celebrated the occasion by gifting Trump a special-edition Diet Coke bottle, marking his inauguration on January 20, 2025.

The button, once removed, has returned to summon White House staff to deliver cans of Diet Coke at the president’s request. Trump’s fondness for the drink has been well-documented, and the commemorative bottle from Coca-Cola, engraved with his name and the inauguration date, is a nod to this unique trait. This limited-edition item will not be sold and is meant only for White House use and select events.

Other changes to the Oval Office include the addition of a bust of Winston Churchill and a portrait of Andrew Jackson, figures Trump admires. In a recent speech, Trump described the significance of the space: “Wars start and end there. Everything starts and ends at the Oval Office.”

If you could add a special button to your desk, what would it do?
