A California man whose 10cm tongue earned him a Guinness World Record has found an unusual way to put his unique muscle to work — painting.

Nick Stoeberl won the award for the world’s longest tongue in 2012. This week he showed off his impressive painting talent in a TV appearance this week.

Stoeberl showed hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby how he wraps his tongue in plastic wrap before dipping it in paint and using it to draw on a canvas.

The world record holder said his paintings have sold for up to $1,200.
