The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester has some seriously exciting news! The museum, which is home to the World Video Game Hall of Fame, just announced that they’re working on something HUGE!

And we mean that literally because they’re creating the world’s largest Donkey Kong arcade cabinet ever! That’s right, this cabinet is going to be a whopping 6-metres tall, making it taller than a giraffe and even bigger than the current record holder, a Tetris arcade machine that stands at 4.9 metres tall.

But don’t think this is just a big hunk of metal – this Donkey Kong arcade game will be fully playable, so visitors can climb up and give it their all, just like they would with any other arcade game.

The museum’s staff is working tirelessly to make sure that this massive arcade machine will be fully functional so that visitors can experience the thrill of playing the classic game like never before.

Donkey Kong, which was released way back in 1981, is famous for being the game that introduced us to the character that would later become Mario, the most iconic video game character of all time.

So, get ready to make history, because this incredible Donkey Kong arcade machine is set to debut on June 30th!
