A tiny kitten found hiding inside a digger has become the newest member of a construction crew in Ohio, in the United States.
Chase Guello, an operating supervisor with RiverReach Construction, was checking over an excavator at a building site in Leavittsburg when he spotted the orange kitten curled up inside the engine bay. An excavator is a large digging machine used on building sites.
The crew searched nearby but could not find the kitten’s mother or any brothers or sisters.
The company decided to keep the kitten and gave her a name to match where she was found — Komatsu, after the brand of the excavator. Her nickname is Sue.
Sue has now become an honorary member of the crew, with her very own tiny vest and hard hat.
It’s a happy ending for a kitten who started life in a very unusual hiding place.
