Excitement builds for AIMS Games 2024

Tauranga moana, once again, is filled with students from allover New Zealand who have come to compete in the 19th Zespri AIMS Games. 

Stretching on from September 8-13, this years top notch sporting event promises a week filled with thrilling competition, team bonding and lasting memories. When AIMS Games started we had 750 athletes and now we have 12,500 which is 17 times that! 

Competitors from all over Aotearoa will be accompanied by athletes from Fiji, Samoa, and the Cook Islands, making this year’s Zespri AIMS Games international and extravagantly
more interesting! What started as a small event in 2004, with participants from 17 schools, has grown into one of the Pacific’s most successful and distinguished tournaments.

This year, 11 – 13 year old athletes from 390+ schools will compete in 27 different sports to have the pride of being Zespri AIMS Games participants. The variety of sporting codes allow participants to compete in their chosen individual sport or as part of a team.

This 2024 Zespri AIMS Games promises not only spirited rivalries but also memories to be treasured for years to come, and share in the excitement and energy that this event brings to Tauranga.
