Pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo is releasing her first ever Christmas song, Take Me Home (4 Christmas).

Because of the time difference, fans in Aotearoa can hear it from about 4pm on Friday 6 November 2026.

A music video for the song comes out at the same time. Olivia wrote the song with songwriters Dan Nigro and Amy Allen, and Dan also produced it, which means he helped shape how it sounds.

To share the news, Olivia posted a video of famous actors playing a “Who am I?” guessing game, with “Olivia Rodrigo” written on their foreheads.

Fans are actually getting two new songs. A second track, Miss This Christmas, is the “b-side”, which means it’s an extra song that comes with the main one.

The song will also be sold on 7-inch vinyl records and cassette tapes from 6 November 2026.

Olivia has had four number one songs in the UK, including Driver’s License, Good 4 U, Vampire and Drop Dead. Her duet with Chappell Roan, Expectations, is number four in the UK charts at the moment, meaning it’s one of the most bought and streamed songs right now.

Last year, Kylie Minogue’s song XMAS was the UK’s Christmas number one, the most popular song there at Christmas time. Many of Olivia’s fans, who call themselves Livies, will be hoping her new song does just as well.
