Plunger Pops Balloon World Record

A man from Germany has set a surprising new Guinness World Record by popping balloons with a plunger. Andre Ortolf, 32, burst 60 balloons in just 30 seconds, beating the previous record of 23 balloons. The record was recently recognised by Guinness World Records.

Ortolf said he enjoys trying unusual and entertaining world records. He especially likes balloon challenges because they are fun to watch and take part in. When he discovered the idea of using a plunger to pop balloons, he knew he wanted to try it.

To prepare, he made sure each balloon was blown up as much as possible. This made the balloons tighter and easier to burst with the plunger. Ortolf finished his attempt in only 24 seconds, meaning he still had time left.

He believes he can beat his own record in the future with even more practice.
