What is the Positive Mindset Challenge?

Let’s be honest: some days your brain is not exactly your best mate.

One minute you are ready to smash maths, play well at sport or have a great day with your friends. The next minute your brain says, “Nope, this is too hard,” or “Everyone else is better than me.”

Not helpful.

That’s where the Positive Mindset Challenge comes in.

It teaches simple tools to help you feel calmer, happier and more confident. Think of it like a training programme for your mind. Except instead of doing push-ups, you practise things like breathing, positive thinking, kindness and goal setting.

So, what actually happens?

The Positive Mindset Challenge has 30 topics. Each topic includes a short video, a quick discussion, and a daily challenge.

That means you don’t just sit there being told to “think positive”. You actually get to try things.

You might learn a breathing trick to calm yourself down.

You might practise turning a negative thought into a helpful one.

You might learn how smiling, kindness and gratitude can change the way your day feels.

You might even make goals for something you really want to achieve.

Basically, it gives you a toolbox for your brain. These tools are called Happy Tools.

Wait, what… Happy Tools?

Yep. Happy Tools are little things you can use when your day gets wobbly.

Feeling nervous before speaking in front of the class? Try a breathing tool.

Feeling annoyed because something didn’t go your way? Try changing the thought in your head.

Feeling like your brain is racing everywhere at once? Try a mindfulness technique.

It’s not magic, it’s practice. And it can make a big difference.

Why would kids want to do it?

Because school is not just about spelling words, times tables and remembering where you put your Chromebook.

It is also about learning how to handle tricky feelings, friendships, challenges, mistakes and big goals.

The Positive Mindset Challenge helps with that.

It can help you feel more confident when things are hard. It can help you calm down when your emotions feel too big. It can help your classroom become kinder. It can help you notice the good stuff in your life, even on days when things are not perfect.

And who wouldn’t want a few extra tools for feeling better?
