London builds World’s Longest Tiramisu

A team of 100 Italian chefs made the world’s longest tiramisu in London. The huge dessert was assembled at Chelsea Town Hall and measured 1,445 feet long. A Guinness World Records judge was there to check the attempt and confirm the new record.

The tiramisu beat the previous record of 897 feet, which was set in Milan, Italy, in 2019. The London event was organised by Mirko Ricci, who had also held the record in 2017. His earlier record was later broken before this new attempt brought the title back.

The giant dessert needed an enormous amount of food to make. It contained about 2.2 tons of mascarpone cheese, 50,000 ladyfinger biscuits and more than 3,000 eggs. Tiramisu is a famous Italian dessert, usually made with layers of biscuits, cream and cocoa.
