Black Caps into T20 final

Finn Allen hit a record-breaking century to help the Black Caps defeat South Africa by nine wickets in the T20 World Cup semi-final. His incredible batting led New Zealand into the tournament final after a powerful run chase.

Allen scored an unbeaten 100 runs from only 33 balls, the fastest century ever made in a T20 World Cup match. His innings included 10 fours and eight huge sixes, thrilling fans in the stadium.

South Africa had batted first and made 169 for 8 in their 20 overs. Marco Jansen was their top scorer with 55 runs from 30 balls.

New Zealand needed 170 runs to win and started very quickly. Allen and Tim Seifert attacked the bowlers from the start and reached 84 runs without losing a wicket in just six overs.

Seifert added a strong 58 runs to support Allen. The pair hit several boundaries and sixes to put their team in control early in the match.

Allen’s powerful hitting helped New Zealand reach 173 for 1 in only 12.5 overs, sealing a comfortable victory. South Africa captain Aiden Markram praised Allen’s performance and said it was very difficult for any team to stop such an innings.

South Africa entered the semi-final after winning seven matches in a row during the tournament.

New Zealand will now play the winner of the second semi-final between India and England.
