The All Blacks beat the Wallabies 43-21 in Sydney on Saturday night, winning both Bledisloe Cup tests against Australia this year.
The All Blacks had already kept the Bledisloe Cup, the trophy the two countries play for, after a 50-19 win at Eden Park the week before.
The visitors scored seven tries to Australia’s three, and were leading 36-7 by half-time.
Winger Josh Moorby and fullback Beauden Barrett scored two tries each. Barrett’s second came when he intercepted a Wallabies pass and sprinted 70 metres to score. It was his 48th try for the All Blacks.
The All Blacks didn’t have it all their own way, though. Midfielder Quinn Tupaea was hurt in the first few minutes after hitting his head hard on the ground, and Shannon Frizell also went off with what looked like a knee injury.
Because of all the injuries, the All Blacks had used all their replacements and had to play the final 11 minutes with only 14 players. Then Chay Fihaki, who was playing his first game for the All Blacks, got a yellow card for a high tackle, leaving the team with just 13.
The Wallabies won the second half 14-7, but they couldn’t catch up.
The win means the All Blacks have now beaten Australia 13 times in a row, and haven’t lost to them since 2020.
Their next match is against Scotland at Murrayfield on 8 November, the first game of their end-of-year Northern Tour.
