An 11-year-old boy from the Vale of Glamorgan has made history by becoming the youngest male video game developer in the world, according to Guinness World Records.

Max earned the title after creating a brand-new video game with five unique levels—all in just four hours. He completed the project earlier this year and had to wait six months to find out if his record attempt was successful.

Max first began learning to code at the age of seven. Since then, he has created and published several of his own games. His love for coding comes from the idea that “whatever you can dream of you can put into a code language and make it real.”

To earn the record, Max had to follow strict rules set by Guinness. He was not allowed to get any help, and experts watched closely to make sure he completed the game all by himself.

Max said he was “really, really happy” to be recognised and hopes to become a full-time video game designer one day. He called achieving the record “amazing” and hopes it will inspire others to try coding too.
