A kis named Liam surprised his family and Amazon by accidentally ordering 70,000 Dum-Dum lollipops while playing with his mom’s phone over the weekend.
The giant candy delivery arrived at their home in 30 huge boxes, each filled with 2,340 lollipops. The total cost? Around $4,200.
Liam’s mom, Holly LaFavers, was shocked when the cases showed up at her door. She shared the story online, saying she had no idea her son had placed the order. Liam later admitted he had been using her phone and had made the purchase while playing.
At first, Amazon allowed LaFavers to return only eight of the 30 cases. To deal with the rest, she began offering to sell them to friends and neighbours. After speaking with her bank and some news stations, Amazon changed its mind and agreed to give a full refund.
Many people offered to buy a box to help the family. Grateful for the support, LaFavers said she would be happy to pass out candy or donate it to charity.
