On Friday, 8th of May 2026, a Whānau Together dinner was held in St Heliers Church. The Whānau Together dinner was celebrating the mothers day and eating special meal with friends, families and neighbors.

The Whānau Together dinner was held in 8th of May, 2026 in 5-6:30pm at St Heliers church. It was for donating money, so every family payed $10 each. The Whānau Together dinner is held every month, and every single person can come and join.

This time, they had a theme of “My Mum”, for celebrating the mothers day, in 10th of May, they read book called “My Mum” by Anthony Browne for children. After the story time, everyone sang songs about mums and had a fun time together.

For the meal, a special gest chef, who was the event leader’s husband, cooked for everyone. He made a dish with minced meet, fresh salad and garlic bread. Children loved the icecream for the dessert.
