Wellington is now home to its very first LEGO store, and the city couldn’t be more thrilled.

The grand opening of this iconic yellow-fronted store attracted hundreds of eager fans, and the excitement was palpable.

The store, more than just a shopping destination, also serves as a tribute to the city itself. Among the remarkable LEGO creations, you’ll find a fantastic brick-built sculpture called “Clayton Windy Wellington.” This impressive piece was assembled using 62,939 LEGO bricks and took a whopping 456 hours to complete. There’s also a striking Wellington mosaic, which boasts 15,387 LEGO bricks and nearly 90 hours of dedicated work.

The LEGO store in Wellington offers a fantastic opportunity for patrons to explore completed builds, providing a sense of the set’s size before making a purchase.
