The New Zealand Warriors’ NRL season is over, after they lost 12-10 to the Newcastle Knights in a tense playoff match on Sunday.
The game was played at a sold-out Eden Park in Auckland, the Warriors’ first match there since 2014.
A record crowd of 48,511 people came to watch, the biggest home crowd in the Warriors’ history.
Centre Leka Halasima, who was returning from a hamstring injury, scored two tries for the Warriors.
But it wasn’t enough, and the Knights held on to win by two points.
The result means the Knights move on to play the Penrith Panthers next weekend, while the Warriors’ season has come to an end.
Some fans were unhappy about a few close referee decisions late in the match that didn’t go the Warriors’ way.
Warriors co-captain Mitch Barnett played his last game for the club in the loss, before moving to the Brisbane Broncos next season.
Most of the rest of the team are expected to stay on, after a season that saw them win more games and score more points than ever before.
The Warriors also broke their attendance records this year, with huge crowds turning out to watch them play right across the season.
