Former President Donald Trump appeared behind bulletproof glass at a rally in Asheboro, North Carolina, marking his first outdoor event since being injured in a shooting last month in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The shooting left Trump with a bloodied ear. Following the incident, the Secret Service initially recommended that Trump hold indoor rallies only.

Now, the Secret Service has decided to use bulletproof glass to protect Trump during outdoor events. This security measure, typically reserved for sitting presidents, has been extended to Trump in response to the attack.

The Secret Service has ordered several sets of bulletproof glass panels, which will be stored in different locations across the country and transported as needed to secure his events. The added protection is a sign of the heightened security surrounding Trump as he continues to hold public rallies.
