The Sydney Roosters have made rugby league history after defeating the North Queensland Cowboys 82-12 in one of the biggest wins in NRL history.

The Roosters dominated from the beginning, scoring eight tries in the first half and leading 48-6 at halftime. Halfback Sam Walker was one of the stars, scoring 36 points and helping create many attacking plays.

Winger Mark Nawaqanitawase also scored three tries, while captain James Tedesco crossed the line twice before leaving the field with a minor ankle injury.

The victory was the Roosters’ sixth win in a row and showed why they are considered strong contenders for the finals.

Cowboys coach Todd Payten described the performance as one of the club’s darkest days and apologised to fans.

The Roosters’ huge score was their best since 1935 and sent a warning to other teams that they are ready for a strong finish to the season.
