A popular New Zealand chocolate bar, the Perky Nana, has arrived in UK stores, sparking a fierce debate among chocolate lovers.

The banana-flavored chewy bar, coated in milk chocolate, recently appeared at discount retailer B&M for $2.20. While some shoppers are thrilled by its return, others have strongly criticized its taste.

Many Brits have taken to social media to express their disappointment. Some described the flavor as “synthetic” and “vile,” with one person calling it a “monstrosity.” Others were surprised by the bright yellow filling and artificial banana taste. One unhappy shopper even joked about wanting to “banish” the chocolate bar forever.

Despite the backlash, Perky Nana has its loyal fans. Some compared it to soft, chocolate-covered foam banana sweets and called it “lush” and “yummy.” A few even admitted to buying them in bulk because they sell out quickly.

Perky Nana is made in New Zealand and is sometimes sold in countries like Australia and South Africa.
