Balancing sword record broken

Erin Hunter, a resident of Edina, Minnesota, has achieved something extraordinary by breaking a Guinness World Record. She successfully balanced 30 swords on her body within just one minute.

Hunter’s journey to this incredible achievement began in 2004 when she started taking Middle Eastern dance classes. As the years went by, she honed her skills, gradually advancing from balancing one or two swords to incorporating them into her belly dancing performances.

While the record attempt didn’t require her to dance simultaneously, it presented its own set of challenges. Hunter stated, “Balancing 30 swords was more difficult than I originally thought.” She explained that certain muscles had to remain relaxed to avoid bumping the swords and increasing the risk of them slipping.

To accomplish this remarkable feat, Hunter devoted 15 to 30 minutes per training session, several times a week, refining her technique. Her dedication paid off as she managed to balance 30 swords within the stipulated one-minute timeframe, securing her place in the Guinness World Records.

Reflecting on her achievement, Hunter said, “It was an incredible feeling! I perform in the company of other record holders and wanted to ‘join the club,’ as it were. It still feels a little surreal to know I’ve broken a Guinness World Records title.”
