The All Blacks beat Scotland 43-21 at Murrayfield in Edinburgh on Sunday 8 November 2026 (NZ time), thanks to a strong second half.
The match was close at halftime, with New Zealand leading by just three points, 24-21.
But the All Blacks took control after the break, scoring 19 points in a row without Scotland getting any.
New Zealand finished with seven tries to Scotland’s three. Fullback Beauden Barrett scored two of them.
The game was the first of the All Blacks’ Northern Tour, a set of matches played in the Northern Hemisphere at the end of the year. Coach Dave Rennie made five changes from the team that played Australia in Sydney.
The win keeps an amazing record going, as Scotland have never beaten the All Blacks in 121 years of trying.
The result also locks in second place for New Zealand in the Southern Hemisphere conference of the Nations Championship, a competition between top rugby nations.
On the same day, South Africa beat Italy 66-7. That stretched South Africa’s lead over New Zealand on points difference to 67 (points difference is the total points a team has scored, minus the points it has let in).
The All Blacks will now turn their attention to the next match of their tour.
