The All Blacks thrashed the Wallabies 50-19 at a packed Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday night, holding on to the Bledisloe Cup for another year.

The All Blacks led 17-14 at halftime before pulling away in the second half. They crossed the tryline seven times, with tries scored by Peter Lakai, Tupou Vaa’i, Cam Roigard, Codie Taylor, Leroy Carter, Josh Moorby and Will Jordan. Damian McKenzie kicked six conversions and a penalty.

The Wallabies, who scored three tries of their own, fought hard but could not keep pace with the home side’s attack.

It was a special night for lock Scott Barrett, who played his 90th test for the All Blacks. He charged into the Wallabies’ defence again and again throughout the match. Halfback Cam Roigard also impressed with his pinpoint box kicks.

The win means the All Blacks have now beaten the Wallabies at Eden Park in every test since 1995, stretching their unbeaten run at the ground to 54 matches in a row.

It was also a welcome result after the All Blacks lost their previous three tests in a row against South Africa. The Bledisloe Cup series between New Zealand and Australia continues with more tests still to come.
