The New Zealand Space Agency is offering a unique opportunity for postgraduate students to intern at NASA next year.

As part of the New Zealand Space Scholarship programme, students can spend up to 13 weeks working on space-related projects at NASA’s Ames Research Center or Jet Propulsion Laboratory. They will be guided by NASA mentors and get hands-on experience in advanced space research.

The scholarship covers airfare, accommodation, and living expenses. Andrew Johnson, Deputy Head of the agency, says the knowledge students gain will help grow New Zealand’s science and space industries. Applications for the internship close on October 27.
