A Chinese fitness influencer named Xie Ting just broke a Guinness World Record by completing an astonishing 44 pull-ups in just one minute.

That’s nearly one pull-up every 1.3 seconds—try wrapping your arms around that idea!

Xie Ting, who is 44 years old, snagged the title for the most pull-ups by a woman in one minute. She pulled off this jaw-dropping feat in Guangdong, China, officially overtaking the previous record of 39 pull-ups set by American athlete Inga Simning in 2022.

After smashing the record, Xie didn’t just sit back and celebrate with some well-deserved rest. Instead, she showed a true champion’s spirit by saying, “Even though I broke the record, I feel there’s still room for improvement. Next time, I’ll go for an even higher score.”

Pull-ups are one of the hardest exercises out there because they require a lot of upper-body and core strength. You have to lift your entire body weight using just your arms and shoulders. Most people can only manage a few pull-ups in one go, so Xie’s 44 in a minute is mind-blowing!
