Cricket coverage in New Zealand will return to Sky Television from the 2026-27 season.

Sky has secured a six-year deal with New Zealand Cricket to broadcast all home international matches of the Black Caps and White Ferns. Until then, Television New Zealand (TVNZ) will continue showing these games for another year.

Spark Sport originally won the rights in 2020, but the service shut down in 2023. TVNZ then took over and will keep broadcasting international matches and the domestic Dream11 Super Smash competition until the end of next summer.

NZC Chief Executive Scott Weenink said it was important to have long-term certainty for cricket broadcasting in the country. He also expressed gratitude for the partnerships with Spark and TVNZ. While Sky will take over home internationals in 2026, free-to-air coverage of Super Smash and some T20 matches may still continue with TVNZ.
