Premier League 2025/26 Kicks Off

The new Premier League season will begin on Friday, 15 August 2025, with defending champions Liverpool playing Bournemouth at Anfield. This match will mark the first kick of the 2025/26 campaign, which will run until Sunday, 24 May 2026.

Fans can look forward to some fresh changes this year. For the first time, the league will use semi-automated offside technology from day one. Puma will also be the new supplier of the official match ball, replacing Nike after many seasons.

Opening weekend will see all 20 clubs in action, with fixtures spread across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Teams will take short breaks for international matches and other competitions during the season.

Liverpool’s opening game will be a chance for them to show why they were champions last year, while Bournemouth will be aiming to cause an early upset. Excitement is building as stadiums prepare to welcome thousands of cheering fans back for another thrilling year of English football.
