The NFL is set to make history by broadcasting a fully animated, real-time alternate telecast of a football game in the Toy Story universe.

This unique broadcast will feature the Jacksonville Jaguars and Atlanta Falcons playing on a field laid out on the floor of Andy’s room, a familiar setting from the Toy Story movies.

It will utilize player-tracking technology from the NFL’s Next Gen Stats and Beyond Sports to recreate every play in nearly real time. Beloved Toy Story characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jesse, Rex, Forky, and the aliens will be seen cheering on the teams from the sidelines.

This innovative broadcast is being called “Toy Story Funday Football” and is a collaboration between ESPN+ and Disney+.
