A tiny village in Italy is honoring pop superstar Taylor Swift — not for her music, but for her family history! Castelnuovo Cilento, a hilltop town with fewer than 100 people in its old center, has named a street after Swift’s great-great-grandfather, Charles Carmine Antonio Baldi, who was born there.

The town hopes the tribute will bring more attention to their village and maybe even a visit from Swift herself. Although she didn’t visit during her concerts in Milan last year, the mayor has officially invited her again and says they would be thrilled to welcome her.

The move is part of a trend known as “Swiftonomics,” where Swift’s influence brings big boosts to local economies. Her concerts in London last year reportedly added £300 million to the city’s economy.

Along with naming the street, the town also plans to make Taylor Swift an honorary citizen.

For Castelnuovo Cilento, this small gesture might just lead to big things.
