The Black Ferns Sevens are World Series champions after smashing Australia 31-7 in the final in Los Angeles.

They had already won four other tournaments this season, including Cape Town, Vancouver, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

In the final, New Zealand scored five awesome tries by Jorja Miller, Michaela Brake, Risi Pouri-Lane, Mahina Paul, and Sarah Hirini. Earlier, they beat the USA 34-7 in the semi-finals, with Michaela Brake scoring three tries! The team has now won four games in a row against Australia.

Their strong season meant they had already wrapped up the title before the LA final. The Black Ferns Sevens are also Olympic champions, and they’ve shown they’re still on top of the world.

Meanwhile, the All Blacks Sevens (that’s the men’s team) finished third after beating Argentina 38-17. It was their first time on the podium this season. South Africa and Spain played in the men’s final.
