Billie Eilish was the big winner at this year’s American Music Awards, held in Las Vegas. She won album of the year and took home a total of seven trophies—one for every category she was nominated in.

Eilish, 23, beat artists like Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter to win top honours, including artist of the year and song of the year for Birds of a Feather. She also won awards for favourite touring artist, favourite female pop artist, favourite pop album, and favourite pop song.

Even though she couldn’t attend in person due to her European tour, Eilish shared a video message thanking her fans and saying, “This is so crazy. I feel speechless.”

Other big winners included Gracie Abrams, who was named new artist of the year. Beyoncé also made history by winning two country music awards—her first in that genre—for favourite female country artist and favourite country album for Cowboy Carter.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar took home favourite hip-hop song for Not Like Us, and SZA won two R&B awards.
