Weet-Bix is launching a new collection of Stat Attack cards featuring 26 of New Zealand’s well-known athletes across 15 different sports. The 2026 All Stars collection will be available from 10 August for a limited 12-week period. Every promotional pack of Weet-Bix will include cards that families can collect. Twelve of the athletes featured are currently competing at the Commonwealth Games.
The collection includes athletes from many different sports, showing how New Zealand’s sporting success goes beyond rugby. The athletes include former Black Caps captain Kane Williamson and Warriors player Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad. Olympic and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Lewis Clareburt is also included. Dame Valerie Adams, a highly successful athlete, has been chosen as this year’s Gold Card athlete.
Rugby is still represented in the collection. All Blacks captain Ardie Savea and Black Ferns player Katelyn Vaha’akolo are among the athletes featured. Silver Ferns captain Karin Burger also appears in the collection after helping her team win Commonwealth Games gold. She said the cards could help young athletes learn more about sporting heroes.
The collection is designed to celebrate the wide range of sporting talent in New Zealand. It also gives young people a chance to discover athletes from different sports. The cards will only be available for 12 weeks, giving collectors a limited time to find them. The new collection marks a change after many years when rugby players were the main focus of Stat Attack.
