Millions of Humanoid Robots predicted

Experts say the world could see up to 27 million humanoid robots in the next ten years, and possibly 3 billion by 2060 – about one robot for every three people.

These human-shaped machines are being developed by companies worldwide, and many believe they could become as common as smartphones.

Unlike robot vacuums or factory arms that serve a single purpose, humanoid robots are built to move and act more like us. With arms, legs, and the ability to walk, they might fit better into spaces designed for humans.

Investors are pouring money into this industry. Reports suggest the global market for humanoid robots could reach $38 billion by 2035. They could be especially useful for dangerous jobs, like working in unsafe environments, where robots might protect human lives.

The idea of humanoid robots has long appeared in movies such as Star Wars. Real progress began in 1972 when Japan built the first walking humanoid robot, WABOT-1. Since then, technology has improved rapidly, especially with the help of artificial intelligence.

AI is teaching robots to walk more smoothly, keep balance, and even learn new tasks by watching humans. For example, one day you might show a robot how to wash dishes, and it could copy your actions. Companies like Tesla, Boston Dynamics, and Figure AI are racing to design robots that could become household helpers within the next decade.

If humanoid robots do become common, the change could be as big as the invention of the car or the rise of smartphones.
