In a thrilling final, Australia clinched its sixth Cricket World Cup title, beating India by six wickets.

Travis Head’s exceptional performance with 137 runs played a crucial role in this low-scoring match. Head, along with Marnus Labuschagne, formed a formidable partnership, scoring 192 runs to successfully chase down the 241-run target.

Despite a shaky start with Australia at 47-3 after seven overs, Head and Labuschagne showcased their dominance in one-day international cricket. This victory adds to Australia’s previous World Cup titles in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, and 2015.

Despite India’s stellar run in the tournament, winning all 10 previous matches, they posted 240 all-out on a slow pitch after losing the toss. Virat Kohli (54) and Lokesh Rahul (66) were the only Indian batsmen to reach half-centuries.
