The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), representing the studios, expressed discontent, citing potential financial hardships for industry workers.
Several top Hollywood stars have expressed their support for a strike, including Barbie actor Margot Robbie, Meryl Streep, and Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson.
