Steven Adams, the renowned New Zealand basketball player, has been traded by the Memphis Grizzlies.

Reports from America indicate that Adams will be joining the Houston Rockets. The trade involves Victor Oladipo and three future second-round picks moving to the Grizzlies in exchange for Adams.

Adams, who has been battling knee injuries, last played for the Grizzlies on January 22, 2023. Despite his hopes to return to the court this season, a knee surgery in October meant that he wouldn’t be back until the 2024-25 season. This move to the Rockets comes at a time when Adams was sidelined for over a year, raising questions about his future in the game.

At 30 years old, Adams has had an impressive NBA career, playing 706 games with teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder, New Orleans Pelicans, and the Grizzlies. Known for his toughness and leadership on the court, the Rockets are looking forward to having Adams bring these qualities to their team.
