The popular gaming platform Roblox is expanding its reach by becoming available on PlayStation 4 and PS5 consoles, marking its entry into the PlayStation ecosystem.

Roblox currently has more than 60 million daily players worldwide.

The announcement was made at Roblox’s annual conference in San Francisco, where they also discussed new features and long-term plans for the platform. While specific launch details weren’t provided, it was mentioned that players on both previous and current-generation PlayStation consoles would have access to the full catalog of Roblox experiences.

However, Roblox has not indicated any immediate plans to release a version for Nintendo Switch. The company’s CEO, David Baszucki, did suggest that fans should “stay tuned” for more platform announcements.

Additionally, Roblox introduced a new feature called Connect, allowing users over the age of 13 to make video calls using motion capture technology, translating their real-life facial expressions to their virtual avatars.

The Roblox app is also set for a full release on the Virtual Reality headset Meta Quest later this month, following a successful beta version launch in July.
