The Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5, 2025, and fans all over the world were excited to see what the new console had to offer. This updated version brings better graphics, new features, and several exciting games. But while many were thrilled, some fans were disappointed when their pre-orders were cancelled just days before launch.

The Switch 2 looks similar to the original, but it has some big upgrades. The screen is now larger and shows much sharper images. The console comes in a sleek black design and includes new Joy-Con controllers that stick to the screen using magnets.

One big change is the new “C” button. When pressed, it opens GameChat, a tool that lets players talk to their friends while gaming. GameChat even supports video calls, but it needs a separate camera and a paid online membership after March 2026. Parents must give permission for children to use it.

Inside, the Switch 2 is much faster than before. It has eight times more storage, so it can hold more games and run them more smoothly. The battery can last several hours, though it may drain faster during intense games.

As for games, Nintendo launched Mario Kart World alongside the console. It features huge racing maps, changing weather, and up to 24 racers at once. Another exciting title, Donkey Kong Bananza, arrives in July. Other popular games like Zelda, Kirby, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater are also getting special Switch 2 upgrades.
