Israel and Iran exchange Strikes

Israel and Iran have launched airstrikes at each other, causing many deaths and injuries. Explosions rocked both countries over the weekend, especially in Tehran, Iran’s capital, and near Tel Aviv in Israel. Talks that might have helped ease tensions, especially around Iran’s nuclear program, were cancelled.

So far, at least 406 people in Iran have been killed, including civilians and military members, according to a human rights group. Iran has fired over 270 missiles at Israel, with 22 hitting targets and killing at least 14 people.

Israel began these attacks to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. It struck many sites, including Iran’s nuclear facilities and oil refineries. Israel also warned people in Iran to leave weapon factories, hinting that more strikes could be coming.

In response, Iran said it hit back at Israel and warned it would continue unless Israel stopped. Iran has made bomb shelters available in metro stations and mosques to protect civilians.

The United Nations has confirmed damage to major nuclear sites in Iran but said there was no radiation leak. Still, repairs could take months. As the situation grows more dangerous, world leaders are urging both sides to calm down.
